As with all Scale75 paints, you need to punch the dropper canal with a pointed tool before the paint can be released. So I looked around for a bit, tried a bit from a few other ranges, and I was settled on Vallejo Game Color. However, many of the paints do not match very closely at all and some mixing will be required to get close to the original colours. I've used metallic Scale 75 paints, and they also separate too much for convenient glazing and "wet paletting", haven't used the Scale 75 flat colours much for glazing. My "first batch" SC75s are gel-like in consistency (some of them) and do not "flow" off the brush with dilluted with just water. It's easy. I'm not sure I get the appeal. I am increasingly enamoured of Scale 75 and I say that as someone with a collection that's primarily Vallejo.It's worth noting, though, that Scale 75 paints are VERY thick and so need a lot of thinning plus they have a very matte finish. Love them both. AK or Ammo, which are mostly the same in handling with some tonal variations between each other. Now I love that about them, but others might not.
